Multiple-Selection List Box Data Connection Filter Causes Postback Infinite Loop

I'm working on a fairly complex InfoPath form and ran into an issue this morning after I added a multiple-selection list box and tried to populate it using a filtered data connection. After I added this and published it to a SharePoint site, the form appears to send postbacks over and over until it hits the server limit, no matter how high that limit is. I removed the field from the view and the issue went away. This seems to happen on any multiple-selection list box, even if i create a new one, and happens with any data connection (including the Choices Data Connection), but I can't reproduce this issue in other forms on other lists. Also, this only happens when I try to edit an item, it does not happen when I create a new item.

Any advice of how I can get my form to behave correctly without starting from scratch?

If you need any more info, let me know and I can provide it.

Alright, looks like I was able to get it fixed through trial and error. If anyone else has this issue, try to add a random text field and hide it. It magically fixed my issue and I'm not sure why. Unless anyone has an explanation for this weird behavior, the thread can be closed.

How strange. I read your post yesterday & had no ideas - I've never seen this before (and since you weren't able to repro, it seemed specific to something in your template!) Glad you found a way to get things working. :-)
