I have an info path form where users can submit job requests. The status for the request is by default "Draft" and this field is a dropdown list. I wanted to create a rule so that once the user clicks on the submit button, the form status is automatically changed to "submitted" and this is recorded in the library. I tried going to the workflow route with SP Designer but I can't seem to pull up the drop down list options in SP. I promoted the column but that doesn't work in SP Designer. I'd like to therefore create a rule. Can someone provide me with step-by-step instructions on how to do this?
