cannot revert form to previous working state

Am using Infopath 2013 and publishing to SP2016. Uploading my published form through Central Admin and then am associating the content type to my form list. I have made a change to my form which totally broke it so I reverted the change and published this back to the server.  My issue is that I cannot seem to create a new instance of the form even though I have reverted the form to its last working state.  Thanks for any help on this.

I get this error when I try to generate a new instance of the form:

Check the logs for the correlation id to find out the issue - do you have access to the server?

     Hi Hilary

Thank you for your reply- yes I do have access to the logs - which seem quite long - what would I be looking for within them?

    Thank you Martin

Search for your Correlation ID from the error. I usually go trigger the error then immediately search the latest log file for the correlation id to make it a bit easier. Sometimes it will be in the prior log file....
