    filter drop down not to include pervious selection

    I built my Infopath form using a database connection.

    One table has Dates(Oct06, Nov06, Dec06...)
    Another table has Project status information. Each project must be statused monthly(which is where the dates come in)
    Date is linked to Project info as 1 to many.

    I need a drop down in my enter new project information form that only lists dates that have not been entered previously.

    The drop down should only contain dates that do not have a record in the Project status table.

    There must be a way to filter dates per project that have not been used before.

    Please help

    Re: filter drop down not to include pervious selection

    I tried to duplicate this tutorial using the list data from my Access Database but could not get it to work. Is there a tutorial showing how this works with a database backend instead of entering the list of seats in the list manually?
    I need this to work but can't figure it out.

    Please help

    Hello deb,
    You take the data connection to the drop down and apply the filter on the drop down
    not(Code = current()/preceding-sibling::Xpath(mention your Xpath here)
    not(Code = current()/following-sibling::Xpath(mention your xpath here)

    Hope this helps you!

    Hi Deb,

    As Shilpa mentioned, this tutorial should work regardless of data source - you will only need to edit your XPath statement to filter the drop-down correctly.
