Drop Down List - need distinct records

    As per this tutorial:
    http://www.infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=7f693c75c5c94604b01bdfd3a1edaedc

Here's a brief explanation of my second datasource (which strangely matches my main datasource):

    Table Game
-> has a GameTypeID from table GameTypes
-> has a LeagueID from table LeagueID
-> has a SeasonID from table SeasonID

I have created a second datasource to populate drop downs and such. I'm currently trying to select the distinct records from the table GameTypes to populate the drop down that should save to the table Game.

However, I keep getting all the associated gameTypeIDs (ie. 50 games, 50 gameTypeIDs) from each Game table rather than just the three distince records countained in the GameTypeID table.

I've also found this tutorial on how to remove duplicates:
    http://www.infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=51dce616335a4ff6a78f2d289baf4651

I've entered the expression and I still get duplicates.

Re: Drop Down List - need distinct records

I've discovered that using a distinct datasource for each drop down will enable me to obtain the desired results. So far, it works.

However, I still can't update two of the drop downs based on a previously selected drop down. I've setup the filter on the drop down and added the rules to requery the datasource. All I get is an empty drop down.

    Drop down 1
    Users.userID | Users.username
Rule: Query using a data connection: Seasons

    Drop down 2
    Season.userID | Season.name
    filter: (Users).userID = (Season).userID
