Force InfoPath into Offline Mode using a script

    Hello,

I am completely new to the forum and I am also an InfoPath Newbie.

We have an issue at work, that there is a certain SharePoint, which has a great amount of data connections, so it is really slow. Additionaly I work in China, where internet is slow due to many firewalls.

On this SharePoint there is a Form Library, where we upload important forms with InfoPath and also download them. It takes sometimes 2 min to download a form, which is really a pain since we are using this several times a day and it costs a lot of time.

I tried to turn off my network connection, so that InfoPath is in offline mode and it gotreally fast! After trying for months now to improve speed, we have the idea to write a script (with VBA) to turn off the network connection from InfoPath, so it is forced to work offline. There should be a possibility to turn it online again by implementing a button maybe.

As I said - I am a total beginner, both programming and InfoPath in General.

Can someone push me in the right direction, where to start, what to consider or does someone maybe has a piece of code to solve the problem?

I am really desperate so I am thankful for every kind of help!

     Thanks a lot.
