    Drop down list with Repeated Section.

    Hi there:

    I have a secondary data source (XML File; sample below) with customer name and other repeating nodes for every customer.

    I am trying to use drop down list to read the customer names from sec data source. Based on which customer is selected, I want to populate the main data source repeating section/table with values from repeating nodes from secondary data XML for the selected customer.

    It appears simple, but when I try to do this with drop down list/filters for the specific customer, I only see values of the first child node for the customer. (Not all of them are showing up as a repeating section). Not sure, what mistake I am doing. Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Partha.

    SECONDARY DATA SOURCE:
    <testfile>
    <customer cusname="Microsoft">
    <program prgname="prg11">
    <cmdline>cmdline11</cmdline>
    <duration>duration11</duration>
    </program>
    <program prgname="prg12">
    <cmdline>cmdline12</cmdline>
    <duration>duration12</duration> </program>
    </customer>
    <customer cusname="SoftMicro">
    <program prgname="prg21">
    <cmdline>cmdline21</cmdline>
    <duration>duration21</duration>
    </program>
    <program prgname="prg22">
    <cmdline>cmdline22</cmdline>
    <duration>duration22</duration>
    </program> </customer>
    </testfile>

    EXPECTED SAVED FORM TO BE: (when Microsoft is selected from the drop down
    list):
    <customer cusname="Microsoft">
    <program prgname="prg11">
    <cmdline>cmdline11</cmdline>
    <duration>duration11</duration>
    </program>
    <program prgname="prg12">
    <cmdline>cmdline12</cmdline>
    <duration>duration12</duration>
    </program>
    </customer>

    Hi, Partha,

    Welcome to the forum.

    Assuming you are going to copy all the nodes over based on the customer you selected in the drop down list, you will most likely need to use code for that. You will want to clone the repeating nodes from the secondary data source and append to the main dom.

    Hope this helps.
