InfoPath Dev

Hello,

I am trying to create a field that contains a value:

Total BSA (cm2) = ((height(field1) * weight (field2))/3600)^0.5 *10000

This has an exponent of 0.5, which could also be use the square root to get the value.  HOWEVER...  I have search and searched and searched, and cannot find a way to make this work without modifying the code.  I do not have the foggies idea how to do that.

Can anyone help me?  I find it hard to believe that they built InfoPath to not include these formula options.

How about.... Creating a Data Connection back to a list on my SharePoint site that I have created columns for. Can I link the value entered in InfoPath to the column in SharePoint, have SharePoint do the calculation in a different column then feed the other information back to InfoPath? Say with a refresh button? I am desperate at this point. Here is another idea... Can I embed an excel sheet that takes the values from some of my fields, then uses excel functionality to calculate my Total BSA? Thanks again for any help!!

Any luck with imbedding the BSA formula in an InfoPath form or at least linking the SharePoint BSA with the form so that the BSA is available in the InfoPath form?
