Data connections still work after redirect?

We are getting ready to upgrade our environment to Sharepoint 2013. Our current structure is www.corporation.com/site/division/department We have 34 infopath forms that submit to various lists throughout. With our new upgrade though, the new structure will be www.corporation.com/site/division-department www.corporation.com/site/division/department will no longer exist and instead direct to /site/division-department I'm very concerned that our data connection strings in all our infopath forms will not work since the URLs will no longer exist, but our sharepoint guy says that redirects will be in place and they'll be fine. Will infopath data connections be able to handle redirects ?

Honestly? I would worry too. Generally, the data connections in the form have to be updated to be directed to the new list / library. I wouldn't have much faith that a redirect would work. But perhaps they have a test environment already set up and have checked this?

Also, if you publish a form to a new location (which it sounds like the new URLs will be a new location, since they are changing), InfoPath will prompt you about updating the data connections and will auto-magically update the SharePoint connections.... so perhaps just a republish will be able to set things back to rights.
