Repeating table with user determined number of rows

    Hello,

Quick question for a repeating table that is going in a browser-based InfoPath form. I want the user to be able to designate how many rows they want ahead of time (this number will be prepopulated into future repeating tables for the same use) but I can't figure out what rules to use/if this is possible...

So there would be a question that prompts the user to indicate how many rows they need, and then the table would automatically appear with that amount of rows.

Thank you for any help in advance!

The only way to do this without code is to add a set number of rows by default then format it to display based on the user entered info. Please see the attached sample - save locally, right click and select Design to Preview.

Thank you so much for your help, I REALLY appreciate it!

After saving your attached file, there's no "Design to Preview" option when I right click...this is probably just me making a silly mistake!

Sorry, select Design. That opens it in design mode. From there you can preview. :) If you look under the Data tab on the ribbon, you'll find Defaults, which is where you'll see the additional repeating nodes.

I'm so sorry to keep bothering you with these little questions, but I actually meant when I right click, there are no options. Everything is actually greyed out and the form is automatically in preview mode...

Oh. Strange. So, you downloaded the form from the site, then right clicked the downloaded file?

Ah never mind! I figured it out, thank you very much again! Have a great day!
