Error: A calculation in the form has not been completed. the number of calculations used for a single action exceeded the maximum limit

     All,

    Going around in circles here.

I have a field (HoursPerDayValue) which pulls a value (number, 2 decimal places) from a SharePoint list. Despite it being number to 2 decimal places it shows in the form with multiple decimal places i.e. 7.25000000

I've a field (workdays) which is the difference between 2 dates. It returns a whole numbers i.e. 1, 2 etc.

    I've created a field (RoundedHoursPerDay) which does the following : round(HoursPerDayValue * 100) / 100 i.e. round HoursPerDayValue to 2 decimal places.

    With me so far?

Finally I have a field DaysByHours with the following formula - workdays * HoursPerDayValue

All I need to do is multiply the number of workdays * HoursPerDayValue .

The problem is when the workdays value is 1 I receive the following error: A calculation in the form has not been completed. the number of calculations used for a single action exceeded the maximum limit.

The funny thing is if the workdays value is 2 or higher I don't get the same error.

I've changed datatypes on fields, tried putting rules in place. Yet right now it's not playing ball.

    Any ideas?

    Hi W,

Obviously, there is some rule that is setting a value which is triggering another rule that changes a value and triggers the original rule. And, around and around you go.

Check your conditions on your rules. This should be easy to prevent.

Attach the form if you can't figure it out.

Thanks, didn't need to solve it in the end. Went down another road.
