How to edit a URL after it has been entered in a browser form

I am automating a project checklist using InfoPath 2010. The way I'm going about it is to create an InfoPath template with repeating tables, then outputting that, then populating a copy of the form with the entries from the Project Checklist by adding the required number of rows, then pasting in the entries, which were originally drafted in Excel. (This is my first InfoPath assignment, so I'm learning as I go, and there's nobody in the organisation who has any knowledge of it.) I have created (1) the InfoPath template, which is a shell containing only the repeating tables, graphics, buttons and no data and then (2) outputting a copy which I'm calling the 'master template' which will be the template the consultants open and edit. It has about 150 rows of data, links, and so on. I've hit a really basic obstacle - one of the fields that I have created in my structure is the automatic 'Add a Hyperlink' field, which you simply click and then paste in a hyperlink. It seems very simple - unless you paste the wrong hyperlink. There appears to be no way to edit, amend, or update such an entry when in the Browser Form. If you click on it, it opens link - you simply can't overwrite your entry. There appears to be no way to delete the field and start with a blank one. Seems a very basic problem to have to raise but it's stumped me. Any tips or pointers highly appreciated.
