Hi,
We're using InfoPath forms linked to an excel spreadsheet, using MS Access as a connector between them. This is all on the 2007 versions of these applications. This is our first attempt at this and I'm trying to make sure that we have everything in the proper location. Both the access database and the excel spreadsheet need to be in the same folder, according to this helpful blog https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/infopath/2008/08/22/consuming-excel-data-using-infopath-database-data-connections/ and I haven't been able to make this work if I place both the spreadsheet and the database out on Share Point (probably because Access needs to be on a Windows platform?). Anyway, I can get things working when I place both of them in a folder on a shared drive, and I can get them properly hooked up to an InfoPath form. However, do all of the users who will be using the form need to have access to the shared drive?
What's the proper place for the database and the spreadsheet to be located so that the users can complete the form, save it, and use the xml to update our records?
Thanks!
