InfoPath & SharePoint 2013.
I've got a New Vendor Approval form that's tied to a SharePoint list. The user creates a new form and presses a submit button which creates a SP list entry, updates a column called "Workflow Status" with SUBMITTTED and sends an email to the approver. The approver can Approve or Reject the request. If they reject it, they enter a reason why and press a Reject button. This updates the Workflow Status column with REJECTED and updates the reason column with what they entered, and sends an email to the requestor. If they Approve it, they just press the Approved button which is supposed to update the Workflow Status column to APPROVED and sends an email to the data entry people.
The problem is when pressing the Approved button the form gives an error saying no data has changed so it can't update the SharePoint list. I'm changing the Workflow Status by using an action on the form when they press the button, setting Workflow Status = "APPROVED". So while it's true the user didn't update anything on the form, I have changed the value of the Workflow Status.
Any ideas how to fix this so the Approved button will work and the Workflow Status will be updated in the list? Thanks!
