What's up everybody, newbie here and new member. 

I have a few questions about infopath. . .

I am making an request form with designer. The premise behind it is to have my users save the form on their desktop and when they need a request they fill out the form, click the submit button and it will send it to me via email. 

First question. When the email is sent, I would like the subject line to have the, wait for it..., the subject and the date. I want the subject to stay the same but I want the date to automatically change to the current date.

So for example: 

Subj: REQUEST FORM - 01-Nov

I also want this same action for the attached form as well. 

Speaking of the attached form, my second question: Is there a way to have that attached form sent (after being submitted) as a read-only so it cannot be edited?

 For the subject, when you set up the email connection, use the FX button and select a field that you can add to your main data source called, oh, Subject maybe? And then you can set that field to whatever you want on submit, prior to emailing the form. We generally just display a specific section in the form for email purposes - you could do that and NOT attach the form, then the user can't change or submit anything.
