How to stop infopath forms displaying in the Sharepoint search box

Hello, I have an Infopath form that is published on Sharepoint. When the form is submitted it is saved using the filename- (staffnumber, firstname, lastname). I have created a view that is set as [Me] so the user can only see their own form. But, if someone searches the file of (staffnumber, firstname, lastname) in the sharepoint search bar then the form shows and they are able to open the form. What steps can I make to make this more secure and stop the forms showing up in the search results? Thanks Ross

    Hi Ross,

I haven't tried this on a Sharepoint 2013 environment but you might want to look into managing permissions:

    1. Stop inherit permissions for this list.
    2. Create your own level of permission (Site Actions->Site Permissions->Permissions Levels(on ribbon)): check "view items", "view pages", "open site"("open")
    3. Associate new level with the user in list permissions
        • Here you could use SharePoint designer and create a workflow that set permissions  for submitted items only for the user who submitted the item.

Check this guide for more information:

Another thing you could do is create a dashboard and only query items based on the current user. You could use hyperlinks, in case they would need to open up the forms.

    Hope this helps,
