    InfoPath form for multiple users

Hi am having this scenario where we have to create a form in which there will be four tasks Task1 Task2 Task3 and Task4 for which there would be four users who can select any of those tasks and once user has selected a task he will save the form and other user comes and he should select his task and save so goes on for four users on same form. But here i have to capture the date and same form should be used by all four users. this is a daily routine so form should be saved on the today's date each day they submit the form . I am very newbie to InfoPath forms so am unable to figure out how to start on this. Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

One easy way of getting the date for eachtasks is by creating a date field for each task. Then create a field called current tast with a default value of "1". At the submit button, add an action rule which increments the current tast every time the form is submitted. This way, you will be able to determine which date field to update, therfore your incrementing action rule should be similar to this:

    Increment Task Action rule:

    Set Field: currentTask

to the value: currentTask + 1

After adding this logic, add an action for each task date field:

    Ex.

    condition:  currentTask = 1

set Task1Date field to the function today()

where Task1Date is  the field for the date for Task1

I hope this was clear enough. Please let us know how it goes.
