InfoPath Dev

I have built a custom form and within this form there is a field where people scan in information and the other fields in the form pull from this information. The issue is that in 2 of the fields that are auto-populated from this field when the label is scanned it shows correctly in the text box as B123456 and the other text box as C12345678 but once you click save it removes the last number from both fields leaving B12345 and C1234567. I have double checked all my character limits and they are fine so I have no clue what could make it cause this.

If anyone has any ideas it would be very helpful?????

Thank you for posting and welcome.

What kind of scanner are you using?

What version of InfoPath are you using?

Is this a browser form or a filler form?

We have developed forms that use scanners and we have never experienced deleted characters. 

Maybe there's a rule on the field that deletes it (hard to imagine though). What are the character limits on the fields? Don't forget you have the C and the B.
