InfoPath Dev

Hi, my brief is to create a timesheet that must be submitted weekly but with a repeating section for every day. I have the form, it submits to a doc library (because you can't submit repeating data directly to a list) I want to take the xml file in the doc library and parse each repeted section as a new list item into another sharepoint list.

I have read http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/matt/archive/2006/02/02/Add-SharePoint-List-Items-with-InfoPath.aspx and whilst helpful, it doesn't answer my exact questions.

I have created a CAML file and imported it as a data source.

Can anyone suggest the next steps please?

 Hello, many thanks for this link. I am halfway through it.

I have created the form and linked the CAML to it. I now have to set up the data connections and the rules. It's quite a long job for a novice!!

I will post the completed form when I get it working if you like.

Hi Don, I am having no luck with this project. I am still where I was in my last post and can't seem to get any further forward.

Is anyone able to assist with the creation of the rules as the video doesn't cover them individually in enough detail.

Hi Don, I looked at this already and it doesn't exactly match what I am trying to achieve. It may be easier to see if there is an out of the box solution to meet my needs.

You might want to check out qRules' SubmitToSharePointList command for a codeless approach on submitting data to a SharePoint list.
