I was wondering if someone knew how to create a calculated field that is base-36?
Basically im trying to update our asset lists.
because we use Dell laptop we keep a close eye on the service tags, to put it short.
We have one field ( dell_service_tag ) then we have another field (dell_express) both of these need to be filled in, however what we would like to do is do a calculated field (base-36) on the dell service tag.
in excel id use the following calculation
=IF(M130="","0",SUMPRODUCT(POWER(36,LEN(M130)-ROW(INDIRECT("1:"&LEN(M130)))),(CODE(UPPER(MID(M130,ROW(INDIRECT("1:"&LEN(M130))),1)))-48*(CODE(MID(M130,ROW(INDIRECT("1:"&LEN(M130))),1))64))))
where M130 would be the Dell_service_tag
