Issue with lookup field after migrating the infopath from SP 2010 to SP 2013

    Hello ,

I have recently migrated list containing  infopath form from SP 2010 to SP 2013. Infopath form did migrated properly except for lookup field.

When I tried to view item; column value was missing. Now what i did.. I opened the item in edit mode and selected a value in lookup and clicked on submit button. Then again I opened the item in read mode and checked whether the value is displyed in lookup value or not. this time I was successful in viewing the record.

Now I tried one more scenario; I created a new record and tried to view the item. I was able to see the selected value in lookup..

I need your help guys to let me know that why after migration the I am not able to view the selected value in lookup; I need to update the record by re-selecting the value in lookup. any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

Hi Mayuresh Halarnkar and thank you for posting,

It sounds like this problem is only happening for existing forms when you are in edit mode.

My guess is that when you migrated the values for your lookup, that the IDs changed. So, when the old XML form opens and tries to get the value, it's no longer there. The lookup values would have been to another list or library, right?

If it's read-only, it doesn't try to re-query the list. This suggests that the reason it is failing is that the lookup value list name changed. Why do I say that? Well, if you're using the list IDs they will be natural numbers, so even if the rows don't migrate in the correct order, the IDs should still be there, so it should find them. That is, unless the data connection is still broken.

Please check your data connection and make sure the lookup is correct.

    Good luck,
