SharePoint List to add info and lookup data from another list

I am trying to create a list system that we can record users but also look them up in a list to see if they are banned or have a warning flag.

What I have is two list. 1. which is a list that we can record their name. 2. which is a list that has their name, description, and a banned yes or no checkbox.

What I am trying to do is make a form to fill in list 1. But once the name is typed to check list 2 to see if they show up in the banned/warning list. If they don't hit submit and they are added to list 1. banned users we would not allow and users with warning we would watch.

If they show up in the list I would like to change the background of their name to red if banned and yellow if on the list but the banned checkbox is not checked.

Also if they show up in the list show the description field on the page.

I have a form now that will highlight the name red if they show up in the 2nd list. But I can't seem to get it to lookup the banned yes or no box. I was able to get the form to display data from the description but it either shows the first or last in the second list.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update. I have the descriptions showing up now, and it only shows the data for the name in the field, but it shows a blank entry in the repeating table for everyone in the list. So any way to clean that up would be great.

    If I set name=name  list1 to list 2

then set (list2)banned="True" it will highlight red.

If I add a second rule to add banned="False" it still highlights red.

If I can get that cleaned up and the list to only show the relevant fields that would be great. Right now I have if the name does not equal name to hide.

I changed my yes/no check box to a dropdown with multiple values. So now in my conditions I have two name=name and Banned="Banned" but it still does not work. Do I need to write a formula for it to correctly pull the correct banned value from the record or when I select it from the drop down is it just searching in general.

Apparently Calculated value was the answer to everything in the form except the color coding which I still can't get that working correctly. But I do have a calculated value field that will say if they are banned or just received a warning, but I can't make the color coding change. Which ever rule is fist it just highlights the field with that color.

Can anyone help me with that part?

Nevermind....apparently SharePoint will not allow  binding a non-repeating control to a repeating field or group.
