Expense Report using Qrules submit to list/edit forms

Hello I am trying to create an InfoPath form using qRules to allow the following:

    • User creates Expense Claim
    • User can then save the form as draft and return to complete it later
    • It is then submitted for Approval
    • Can edit and resubmit the claim if required
    • Allow Finance dept to edit individual line items that make up the claim to be edited for tax calculation
    • Once all rows in claim are tax calculated then claim status is automatically set to closed

I have managed to create an admin approved template which using qRules submits line information to one list and summary information to another list.  What I seem to be missing is the piece to tie the two together.  Also, my admin approved template defaults back to InfoPath client form when opened from the library.  I can't see, to load data via webpart to link the two.

Any advice anyone could give would be much appreciated please.

    Thanks

     Hello d24n4e,

It sounds like you've been able to set up the list mapping correctly. That is great! If not, here is a blog post about creating the mapping: http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/hilary/archive/2012/05/30/qrules-submittosharepointlist-walkthrough-for-v4-2.aspx

For the management of the line items by the finance department, it may be best to create a form which queries the list and brings in entries for edits, and then uses the same process to update the list items.

For the template opening in the filler instead of the browser, check a few things:

    1. Is the form publishing with errors? Run the design checker to find errors and fix before republishing.
    2. What is the default setting in the library? In the library setting sometimes even if the default is browser, you need to change the selection to the non-default browser option in the advanced settings.

Let me know if this helps!
