I searched this forum thoroughly but did not find any specific answer to my somewhat subjective question. Is it Poor Practice to keep data connections in the DCL that have also been uploaded to Central Admin (i.e., why have files in two places)? Since we often make revisions to our form templates and others use (or may want to use) the same data connection, it seems more efficient to leave them in the DCL so that we can preview the templates with data to check rules, etc. before publishing. The data connections in the DCL are secured to the form designers only.
What do other forum members recommend?
