Re-use template for new SharePoint List?

I built a terrific form for my SharePoint List in InfoPath.

However, I now need to make three slightly different versions of the form, connected to three different SharePoint lists.

I have been unable to change the Main Data Connection in the InfoPath file to link to a different list.

I exported the source files from the original InfoPath file but cannot find a way to then import them into the new InfoPath file that is generated when I go to edit the SharePoint list in InfoPath.

Is there any way to do this, other than recreating the form from scratch multiple times?

    Thanks!

Re: Re-use template for new SharePoint List?

I posted too soon, I just figured it out.

I had to save the list as a template in SharePoint, and then create the new list from that template.  I can then edit it to my heart's content, but starting with all the fields, rules, etc that I already built in the first version of the form.
