      how do I go about setting this up? I want to check a field say Work Order Number, if it matches a pre-existing WO#, then load all the other fields into the current form so the user can update the information. If the WO# doesn't exist, then just leave form empty for user to update the fields. Thanks.

One probable solution here is to query the data uing the Work Order Number. Next is to set up a rule that loads all the other fields with the condtion: Number of occurences of row is greater than 0.

What this rule rule does is that it checks if there is a matching data for the Work Order Number. If the Query does not return any value, then the rule will simply not run. Hope this helps.
