Hello forum,
I have been researching for quite a few hours on a solution but no luck.
I have created a form that pulls data from an access database table.
The fields populate without a problem but when the values of the fields are changed in the access table,
They do not update in the infopath form until I click on data connections tab and modify the existing connection by simply clicking on next and then finish. This displays the new data but my users will need an easier way to display updated data from the same table.
I tried creating a button with rules.
I tried creating rules when the form opens.
Nothing seems to change / refresh the new data in the infopath field.
I really need some help and I'm praying someone knows how to do this without coding.
Current setting for the data connection are:
Type: Retrieve data from database
Data source type: secondary data source
Data retrieved: every time form is opened
Data connection available in offline mode
Please note the form I have designed is not to be used in an online environment.
I have designed the form with two parts. Manual entry and auto populate fields.
I just need the auto populate fields to update themselves with new the new data when the fields values are changed in access.
Hope this can be done automatically?
