Hi - I have created a data connection for my Sharepoint 2010 list to appear in my Form when I click on the drop down of my Application box. It is not set to automatically load each time the form opens. Instead, I wanted to create a rule to query data connection. So, I created the rule to 'each time the field changes', query data connection would run. But it does not. I see nothing when I click on the drop down button of my combo box. As a test, I created a rule to have a msgbox appear 'hello world' when the field changes and again it does not work. I know the rule isnt disabled but its almost like the drop down box is not activating the rule. I dont get any error messages either.
When I have the data connection to automatically load each time the form opens, then I see the values in my drop down list.
I would appreicate any insight how where to look or what might be the problem causer here.

I have an update to this...
I played around with the rules and used the MsgBox rule and changed my dropdown box to combo box. I entered some dummy text in the combo box and the msgbox appeared with what I typed, so that works. But I dont want to have enter something into my combo box before my rule query data connection runs. Please help!
