I am using InfoPath to connect to a Microsoft Access database and I'm running into two issues in how I want to setup my parent-child table relationships.
1. My primary data table has 1 record per location and I want to be able to return results based on the data in a 2nd child table. The second child table has 1 row per location but not all locations are included. When I run the query it returns all results from the parent table; basically ignoring the criteria I've entered. When I use a 3rd table that has the same number of records as the primary table it works fine.
2. I want to be able to e-mail certain people when the form is submitted based on the people assigned to that location using a rule. Each record in the parent table has the person's ID, but when I join to a table with their e-mail address based on that ID it says there is a many to 1 relationship between the parent and child table and therefore, I can no longer submit the form. However, it is actually a 1 to many relationship.
Thanks for any help you can provide
