InfoPath form refreshes to empty form on submit

    Hi,

I have an InfoPath 2010 form that submits data to a forms library. I have a button on the form, that when clicked submits the form to a forms library using rules and a data connection.

Certain users see an error when they click the submit button. And once they click "ok" for the error, the form simply refreshes automatically and they lose all the information they typed in. They get an empty form. I don't have details of the error as the users aren't technical enough to understand the error.

This doesn't happen if the user completes the form in say 15 minutes. Is this error due to the session timing out. Some users spend close to 90 minutes on a form.

How can I prevent this form refreshing on submit? Is there a setting in InfoPath 2010?

Any suggestion is much appreciated. Thank you.

The form is a browser form, right? There is a SharePoint setting that may help - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262263(v=office.14).aspx#session

Thanks for responding Hilary. Yes, this is a browser form.

Which of these settings should I increase and what value should I increase it to?

Is there a way I can disable the form refresh after clicking OK to the error? Appreciate your help.
