InfoPath Dev

Hi Gurus,

I have 10000 records in my sharepoint list. I am trying to access this list as a secordary connection into an infopath form. But getting threshold error. If the threshold is increased will it affect server performance to while reading the list from infopath form? will it consume network resources adversly?

 It stands to reason that querying that many records would have negative perfomance implications. Is it producing that error even if you use filters to reduce the number of records to below the threshold?
