i have spent the last week or so going around in circles and i think im starting to realise im trying to achieve the impossible, with that in mind this is my last attempt of trying to get what i think is possible to work.
in this scenario i am using the following technologies
SharePoint Online
InfoPath 2013
Excel 2013
i currently have an Excel document that has 4 columns and 23000 rows, 3 of the columns have repeated data in but one column has 23000 unique entries in. i have created a web based InfoPath form that i need to look up the first column and when an option is chosen it will only show information relevant to that column in the other 4 options of the form (Cascading drop down).
So far i have been able to create the form, i have also uploaded 4000 lines to a SharePoint Online custom list and using a data connection in InfoPath i can get the form to do exactly as i need,
my problem arises when i try to go over 5000 lines. this seems to be the ceiling of the SharePoint Online custom list and once you do this neither the list or the form work at all.
i have tried converting the excel document to XML and connecting to it that way but it take 10 minutes to select each option. so this is a big no go.
because i have seen this work with under 5000 lines i know i am almost there but does anyone know of a better way to do this with large amounts of data.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
