    InfoPath Form Requesting Lists.asmx Login

    Hello.

We recently opened up the creation of InfoPath forms to a larger group within our company. Previously only me and one other person had InfoPath for creating forms, and both of us are Site Collection administrators. With the opening of new users, we are running into an error of sorts we haven't seen before. When these new folks try to publish a form, they are receiving a login prompt for http://<site>/_vti_bin/Lists.asmx.

It does not appear they are able to log into this, as the login prompt repeatedly shows after entering their credentials, and they are unable to publish the form as a result of this. If the other SC admin or I log in with our credentials, the form publishes without issue (on the same machines they are using or on our own). The forms are all pretty basic - they have no code and the only data connection is the one that submits the form to the destination library (also super basic). The users themselves have Design rights on the site they are publishing to (http://<site>). Based on my understanding, this should be a sufficient permission level to publish these forms. We have verified that the credentials being entered are correct, and we have tried bumping them up to Full Control rights on <site> as a test.

Does anybody have any insight into this? I can't find anything online - it seems like it would be a permission issue, since the two SC admins can publish the same forms without issue, but I am not aware of a way to assign different permissions to Lists.asmx than what are assigned to the site on which that is located.

    Thanks in advance!
