    Question about SaveToSharePoint using qRules

So I have a form setup using the SaveToSharePoint rule. Is it possible to save one field from the form to a corresponding column where the file is attached? For example, I want to save a field from the form called "formID" to the corresponding library where the attachment is saved. Thanks

I'm afraid this is not currently possible. We are considering this for a future release. You could instead use SaveToSharePointList and attach the file to a list item that has a column for the form id.

Thanks Hilary, but that wouldn't work as I need to attach an approval workflow to the attachment.

One work around that I've thought about but have not tried would be to use SubmitToSharePointList after running the SaveToSharePoint command to update the metadata of the item. Unfortunately, since the mapping tool for that command doesn't currently surface libraries, it involves hand editing the mapping, and it will also involve figuring out a way to query to get back the list item ID for the attachment you just saved to SharePoint (I'm thinking that could be done w/ an owssvr.dll data connection and the link for the item).

The first thing I check on this is postback - your rule is on a button or a field - make sure either the button or the control bound to the field has postback set to always (under the control properties / browser tab).
