Identify and remove orphaned items created by submittosharepoint command

We have identified a bug with using IE8 and submittosharepoint on Filler Forms with qRules 5.1.  Something has changed on the O365 servers, when users modify a repeating table that sends its data to a list using submittosharepoint, AND the user has IE8, the items are not updated and many times duplicates are created.  The first time the form is submitted the data is sent correctly to the list. If new items are added to the repeating table, or items in the table are changed, the items in the list do not update or duplicates are created(when IE8 is installed).  This does not happen when submitting and using IE9 or IE10 but I can reproduce consistently with IE8. If I open the form that is not updating with IE8 on a PC with IE9 or IE10 and press the submit button, the current items in the form are updated in the list.  The duplicates are not removed.  All users with issue have Windows 7 SP1, IE8 with latest updates, Office 2010 Pro Plus SP2 and the form is injected with qRules 5.1.

I have a huge need to find a way to remove all of the orphaned items from the list.  The list items that are not being updated by IE8 users can be fixed by submitting the form with a pc that has IE9 or IE10, but the orphaned items will still remain.  Can someone point me in the right direction as to how to remove the orphans.  There are currently over 3500 items in the list and 1500 forms in the library.  We are 100% in the cloud and the site collection has not been upgraded to 2013 yet, it is still 2010.

I would like to run a workflow on the list that would check the ID of the list item, then somehow identify if the list item is on the form.  The list item ID is not sent to the form library so this is the area in which I am looking for assistance.  There are hundreds of duplicates and orphans in the list at this point.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
