InfoPath Dev

I am trying to count the number of items in a document library using infopath. I can do that if I create a receive data connection. However,  if I add another file to the library then the item count would not change because data is saved in th form template.

I was using count(@ID)

Does anyone know how I can do it real time, so that when the item numbers change in the library, I can click refesh on the form and the correct number will show up and I do not have to manually modify the data connection.

 Well what you can do is create a refresh button that will retrieve the new count of the library every time you click it.

 All you have to do is add a Button then add a rule "Set a field's Value". "Field" being the textbox in which you want the number displayed ( in your case the one fitted with the count(ID) formula).

 and "Value" should be set at "count(ID)" the ID field being the one from your Data connection.

Now add another action  to the same rule to "Query for Data" using that same Data connection and you should be set.
