I am having a problem with updating the forms. I'm still fairly new to InfoPath, so please forgive me if I don't use the correct terminology. First let me say that we do not have sharepoint. Our forms and database connections are kept on the server.
I have forms that I created for our employees - maintenance requests - that has a data connection to an Access database on our server that populates the dropdown lists in the form with equipment names/numbers, vehicle names/numbers, etc.. This way, when there is a vehicle or number change, equipment number change, etc.I only have to change it in the database and not in each individual form. Each employee logs in to the server with their username and password to complete the form, which is submitted by email. When I update the form, it asks the employees if they want the updated version of the form. A couple of the employees recently ignored the update and the form dropdown menus were blank. So I had to republish the form so that they could update it in order to complete it. When I did this, every employee had to update theirs to make sure they had the latest version.
Is there a way I can do a blanket update to the form so that it and automatically updates the form for all employees? It seems that there has to be an easier way than republishing the form and having everyone update it again. Anyone have any advice on this issue?
