Repeating Table to a Sharepoint list

    Hi,

I am creating a form and submitting it to a library and sharepoint list using qrules.

The forms first two columns are a repeating table populated from a secondary datasource. The data retrieved is managed by a rule dependent on the value in another field. Dependent on this value the form retrieves the data and populates the first two columns. Thats straightforward and works fine.

I have a third column where I want to add a comment and this is a field in the main data source which I add as a repeating table/section.

This third column will show correctly beside columns 1 and 2 when data is retrieved and looks fine BUT when I type in this third column the same data shows in all fields. If I type in row 1 of column 3, all rows of column 3 change to the value of row 1 and If I type in row 10 of column 3, all rows in column 3 change to the value of row 10 and so on and so.

I feel I am missing something simple here?

    Regards

    Barry

Hello Barry - apologies for the delay in repsonding.

The issue is happening because your repeating tables are bound to different data sources. It would be nice if you can get all columns into one repeating group. You can achieve this by using qRules to insert rows and copy data from one data source to another.

You can also probably get around this by using conditional formatting in your column 3 repeating table - that is to hide rows whose position is not equal to that of the current secondary data source repeating node's. You may use the formula count(preceding-sibling::repeatingGroup) + 1 to get the position or row number.

Let us know if you get stuck or need more help.

    Thanks!
