    Hello everybody,

    I am having problem pulling data source from a SharePoint list which is large in size into a “Text Box” or “Rich Text Box” in my web based form. Preview works perfectly but when I try to publish it takes a long time with the following message - “An unknown error has occurred. The form template has been published to the server but it can only be opened in InfoPath Filler”.

    If I use a “Pull-Down List Box”, publishes quickly/correctly, but the line does not wrap or is unreadable for a certain amount of characters. It is a column that describes the purpose of an organization so I cannot abbreviate.

    I unchecked “Verify on server” gotten from another post but that did not solved the problem. I even went to the "list Settings" on the list and played around with changing different parameters like increasing the "number of lines for editing". Any suggestions?

     Several things come to mind.

    Open up InfoPath (2010). File>Info>Form Options>Compatibility>Form Type>Web Browser.

    File>Info>Design Checker.

    Thanks for your response. I had already done "design checker" and recieved 2 errors. BTW, it is set to "Web Browser".

    1) Data connections contain parameterized queries & 2) could not verify the form template on the specified server - that is why I unchecked "Verify on server" when I published.

    I am at a lost!
