    Re: How to map person/group picker

    Oh, sorry.

    I was trying to set a default value of a person picker. The defaults are configured in a SharePoint list using a person/group picker. That's no problem.

    On my IP form I was using double eval to get the persons preconfigured.

    When only one person is set in the list, all works fine. As soon as more persons are configured in the list and I set the value of the picker in IP like this: "AccountId1;AccountId2"
    The person picker shows the correct persons and clicking the "Check Names" button works without any error.
    The problem is, that the form can not be submitted because it reports errors on the form.

    I checked the XML and I think the problem is that my code sets the value of only one person and I found no solution to add a second, third, .. person in the picker using some code, rule, ...

    Do you have an idea how this scenario can be supported?
    Thanks

    I normally create a concat names field that sets the People Picker values to a regular text field.  If you are using claims based authentication, the email addresses are not formatted in a simple [email protected].  The email addresses are formatted liked " i:0#.f|membership|[email protected].

    Create a text field that will be used to concatentate the names that are entered into the People Picker.  Have a rule that sets the fields value each time the people picker is changed. You will need to strip off the beginning part of the email address and add a semi-colon in between each name.  The code would look something like this:

    xdMath:Eval(xdMath:Eval(../my:group/pc:Person, 'concat( substring-after( *[local-name() = "AccountId"], " i:0#.f|membership|"), ";")'), "..")

    You can promote this field and use it for sending purposes.

    BTW, you cannot enter groups in the People Picker field using this method.

    Thanks,

    but what I was looking for was to set the value of the people picker. I can get the emails out of the people picker, that is not a problem.

    In my scenario I get some persons out of a person picker of a settings SharePoint list. Then I want to set these persons as value of the person picker in IP when a new form is opened.
