    Multiple Selection People Picker Mapping

    Can someone help me map a people picker field that allows mulitple selections?  I know if you are mapping a single people picker field you use concat("-1;#", AccountId) but I'm not sure what to do if you allow mulitple selections.

    Hi Apeter and welcome,

    Map to what? To SharePoint 2013 Claims based usernames?

    You could concatenate multiple values using the double eval concat trick: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/infopath/archive/2006/04/05/569338.aspx

    Please help us understand your scenario better for more detailed answer.

    Thanks!

    Hi Patrick,

    I am wanting to map the PP field to a SharePoint List using qRules.  Looking at the blog it looks like the eval formula may work.

    Thanks.

    Re: Multiple Selection People Picker Mapping

    Hey Patrick,

    It did work.  Here is the formula we used:

    xdMath:Eval(xdMath:Eval(../my:AlsoNotify/pc:Person[pc:DisplayName != ""], 'concat("-1;#", pc:AccountId, ";#")'), "..")

    We set this as the default value on a text variable.  We also had to put in the filter [pc:DisplayName != ""] because if nothing was entered into the PP field we were getting errors when trying to submit.

    Hope this helps others. Thanks

    I had the same issue, and this helped me figure out the solution. Thanks!

    I do have one question, did anyone else have this break their browser compatibility? I used a rule to set a seperate field to the concanted data when the submit button is clicked. When I try to upload my form to the server I recieve the error " Code events on Person/Group Picker controls are not supported in sandboxed solutions."  I know I can get the template admin aproved, but would rather not have to do that. Any solutions?

    Well, it isn't code. So, it should work just fine. Do you have code in your solution? Maybe the designer is confused about whether that code is running on your People Picker or not.
