When adding a new column to a Repeating Table in InfoPath 2013, it automatically creates a new field. Sometimes I want this, usually I don't. Is there any way to prevent the field from being automatically created? Thanks, Peter

This is a bit vexing isn't it?

For more flexibility I recommend starting from a layout table instead of a repeating table control.

If you already have a repeating table, this might be a challenge.

You'll have to just add and delete.
