Switching view and saving to a document library

    Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help - I feel like I'm super close to a solution on this but it just eludes me... :)

I'm using InfoPath and SharePoint 2010. I've developed a form and set up two data connections to go to two different places - one a list view and the other a document library.

What I want to do is have the document library act as a library of 'in context' forms (so it opens in the pretty InfoPath form template with the data populated) I want to remove the 'Submit' button from the form when it's in the document library (so it can't be edited and resubmitted)

I've tried creating a view and then configuring rules that I thought should work - so I have three rules that are like this:

    • Rule one (Submit data to list view)
    • Rule two (Switch to view that DOESN'T have the submit button but does populate the fields)
    • Rule three (Submit to document library)

I'd thought that rule two would mean that rule three would display the view without the submit button, but it's still displaying the elements I've removed.

So grateful if anyone can help, or even suggest an alternate way I could solve this... :)

I have done something similar using additional fields, once you submit a document set a field value to indicate document is in Library; And in Form Load hide the submit button for that condition.. hope that solves your problem.
