browser based infopath form creates error when used in workflow

    Hi,

I have a browser based InfoPath form in SharePoint 2013 that submits data to a library, as far as submitting the data and working with the library everything seems fine.

The problem is that when I run an OOTB approval workflow on one of the forms in the library the system sends out the usual notification emails, but when the approver clinks on the links in the email to view the form they get this message

The following location is not accessible, because it is in a different site collection: http://uk1vsrv005/sites/nexus/marketing/WAP/PreApprovalForm/PMajor2013-05-17T16_07_12.xml?OpenIn=PreferClient&NoRedirect=true&XmlLocation=/sites/nexus/marketing/WAP/PreApprovalForm/PMajor2013-05-17T16_07_12.xml.

I find this odd as to my knowledge we only have 1 site collection.

Does anyone have any ideas why the emails are not linking back to the correct file ? As I said other than this the form works perfectly.

    Hi,

Isn't there a problem in the URL? I would expect something like:

    http://<path to the XSN>?OpenIn=PreferClient&NoRedirect=true&XmlLocation=<path to XML>

Right now you are providing the same thing twice (the path to the XML):

    http://uk1vsrv005/sites/nexus/marketing/WAP/PreApprovalForm/PMajor2013-05-17T16_07_12.xml?OpenIn=PreferClient&NoRedirect=true&XmlLocation=/sites/nexus/marketing/WAP/PreApprovalForm/PMajor2013-05-17T16_07_12.xml

     Hi,

Yes I would agree that that seems to be the case but that is what the out of the box approval workflow puts in.

Apart from the problem with the URLS in the emails and the task list the actual form itself works perfectly.

Is there any way to edit the URL in an OOTB workflow or am I better off just trying to build a new workflow from scratch in SharePoint Designer ?
