Use Qrules\copytable to populate richtext field in InfoPath 2007

    Hi,

I want to use the copytable command to populate a richtext field  to populate fields a repeating table within my 'Main' data source.  I find that if my destination table is a set of fields, I get the error 'The table row of the source and destination must contain the same number of elements and attributes.'  I switched to a set of attributes and the copytable WORKS,  BUT I cannot choose Rich Text as a data type, only Text.

Note, my source table is a xml secondary data source generated using the FilterOwssvr qRules command to filter rows.

The qRules user guide says 'Attributes and rich text can be copied' but I can't figure out how to make it work.

    Hi Wilfred,

If the secondary data source contains all attributes, then the main data sources must also contain all attributes to allow CopyTable to work.

You might want to look at something like the method described in this tutorial, instead of using CopyTable.

    Hope this helps!

    Ernesto,

The Insert Method may work (more work, but possible).  My solution has to be OOTB (no code) so a question:  Having used the FilterOwssvr command to retrieve my source table, is there a property available that indicates the number of rows/records that have been returned?  I need this to know how many rows to insert into the destination table.

You can just use the count function - in the formula editor, select that from the functions and then count the returned repeating group in your secondary data source.
