setting value on item in sharepoint list

Hi I'm trying to create a resource booking system with infopath 2010 and sharepoint 2010.

I have a laptop lending service form built with infopath. This form has the following fields.

    laptop_model

Current_status  (listbox with "checked in" and "checked out")

    Employee_name

    Date_lent

    Date_due

I also have a sharepoint list called laptop_pool

this list has the following two fields:

    laptop_model

current_status (listbox with "checked in" and "checked out")

At the moment i have a data connection setup on my infopath form which populates the laptop_model and current_status values from the sharepoint list.

What I would like to do is change the value on the sharepoint list from the infopath form.

So if I'm filling in the infopath form and set the current_status of "laptop A" to "checked out", I would like the current_status of "Laptop A" on the sharepoint list to be set to "Checked out".

Can anyone advise me how to do this please?

    Hi-

Here's a blog post that explains the options if you'd like to map data into a SharePoint List.

     Good luck!
