    Show Only Blank/Empty Fields

     All,

Is there quick and easy way that you can validate a whole view of a form to make sure that all fields contain some information?  For arguments sake I've 20 fields on my form.  Ideally I'd like not to have to write 20 validation rules - 1 per field. This will get messy over time.

Then  how can I show with labels the blank fields only? If I do not include labels I can hide fields via conditional formatting of non blank fields, yet again this will get messy and without a label how will I know which fields I need to fill out?

    Thanks

    W

You can make a field required in the form - that's probably the first option.

You can add validation rules, one per field, as you've said.

    And that's about it.

The other approach is to put conditional formatting on the submit button, so that it is disabled until all fields are not blank.

You can add labels using the Text option in a Calculated Value, and this allows you to show/hide the labels as desired using conditional formatting.

    Hope this helps!

Ernesto - thanks for that I'll play around with the calculated value fields.

In case anbody else is wondering - simple concat function was all that was needed. No onto the next challenge. - New question shortly I'm sure.
