    Filter a repeating table's filter?

I have a repeating table that I am filtering and displaying in a section (via properties>Display tab>Filter Data).  In this section I want to display all rows or some rows in the section depending on value of a field outside the repeating table.  Is this possible?

It seems I need to create two section for same set of filters, one with additional filter to show desired rows.  I can do that, and hide the other section but it gets quite complicated when I'm counting rows and using compare total rows to rows checked (each row requries a response from user) to validate if all rows are complete....etc etc.

So it would be cleaner IMHO if I could filter a filter in one repeating section.  Is that possible?  How?

If your data is coming from a SQL database or from a SharePoint list you might be better of filtering via the web services (QueryDB, QuerySharePoint) instead.  This will filter on the server and bring back only the rows that match your filter(s).

Otherwise, if it's ok to bring in ALL data in the secondary data source, then yes, you can have as many filters as you'd like, even filter on values outside the repeating table.
