Re: qRules 4.3 trying to install mapping tool, error

    Thanks for the clarification.

My understanding is that Hilary wrote the blog post for qRules v4.2, and the links on the start menu have changed slightly for qRules v4.3. I'm attaching a screenshot of what I see for qRules v4.3. The shortcut to the forms folder will allow users to open the Mapping Tool and the other installable forms included in qRules.

The issue in the User Guide has been noted and will be addressed for our next release, qRules v5.1. Can you let us know if the Installation Guide you received has correct or incorrect steps?

    Thank you for your feedback.

My apologies that my blog post for 4.2 has caused you confusion with qRules 4.3 and the changes in the install process. I'll update my blog post with a note.

I received a message via twitter via twitter with a link to the blog on how to use qRules 4.3 with infopath. He also told me install instructions were on page 74 of the user guide (they aren't).......and then i was pointed to the user guide for the full trust form, this mentions install.js which is wrong......so as you can see i have become a little confused with how to go about all of this. I have fixed my issue, pretty simple really............ Open infopath filler > form options > trust center > trust center settings > tick "allows trusted forms to run on my computer"

ok i am now using this to enter data in to sharepoint lists. One question................ Users will need infopath filler to fill out forms that use mappings.xml and submit to sharepoint list? Thanks.

Do you have SharePoint with InfoPath Forms Services? If so, you can publish a qRules form as a browser form - we are currently having a hard time with qRules + Browser + Office365, but if you have on premises SharePoint with IPFS, you shouldn't have any issues with your form as a browser form.

Using this for sharepoint online, what made me trial the product is because i know of the issues using form with code and publishing them on a Sharepoint server. I had a requirement to add some extra functionality to a web based form for SharePoint online and thought this tool would be perfect. So it doesn't work with browser based/sharepoint online because the forms need an admin to publish them? The Sharepoint online site we use is not the new upgraded version.

qRules does work in the Sandbox (i.e. - as a form published directly to a form library) if the user is a site collection admin. However, there is an Office 365 bug that is causing issues with qRules browser forms in Office 365. Here is a KB on that: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2837888?wa=wsignin1.0
