Show Default Value when box is "Checked"

    Hi,

I have a check box and a text box.

The check box is labled "show default". When checked, I'd like the text box to be read-only and to show the default value "John Smith". When unchecked, I'd like the text box to be editable. But, if the user then decides they'd like the default value, they can just check "show default" and the text box will be re-populated with the default value "John Smith".

Any idea how to do this?

     Thanks!

    JF

You can use rules for this, on the checkbox itself. Two rules:

    1. If CheckBox=true,

set a fields value to the default value

    2. If Checkbox=false,

set a fields value to blank

    Hope this helps!
